Sam Jones aka Stovepipe #1 (Who recorded around the same time as Daddy Stovepipe) recorded two sides in August 1924 for Columbia. Jones, born sometime before 1900, probably in the vicinity of Cincinnati, OH, performed as a one-man jug band on the streets of the Ohio city.
